英语对我来说是一件苦差事，那些淘气的字母怎么也钻不进我的脑子里。
今天下午要上英语课时，老师在黑板上写了一组英语单词是“raining cat sand dogs”,让我们讲一讲它的意思。我低下头思索着：cats,dogs是“猫”和“狗”的复数形式，表示“许多猫”和“许多狗”，raining是“雨”的意思。合起来是什么呢？我正在冥思苦想，有同学举起说说：“天上掉下来很多猫和狗。”顿时教室里的同学们哄堂大笑起来，互相交头接耳，都在讨论这个词语的意思，最后还是老师解开了谜团。老师说：“同学们英语学得还可以，记住了每个单词的含义。”这几个单词合起来的意思是倾盆大雨。英语和汉语一样，一些单词和单词组合起来有特殊的含义、固定的用法，就像汉语的成语、谚语似的。刚才老师说的这几个单词合起来，就不是单个儿的意思了，而是“倾盆大雨”的意思。

爽朗洒脱的性格，朗朗有力的嗓音和永远严肃的瞳仁中，却不乏一丝母性的慈爱；微挺的鼻梁上，架着一副红框眼镜，圆圆的秀气脸庞，中等微胖的身材，在初次见面就掷地冰寒，说话丝毫不留情。俗话说得好，严师出高徒。虽然我不是那么喜欢这种方式，也不那么提倡，可是我十分欣赏这种传统的`教学方式，这样同学们也会将注意力更加集中在课堂的学习上，也让课上喜欢开小差的同学闻风丧胆，从而使学习提高并且还有良好的自觉性。
听说李老师在艺术上也颇有见解，曾领导过学校的英语合唱团参加过许多大大小小的比赛，并且取得优异成绩。而且Mrs.李在教师圈中也具有魅力的人气，是位平易近人的老师，
在往后的日子里，我要再接再厉学习英语，因为我是那么地尊敬我的英语老师——Mrs.李。
